    Founder and President, Tangier History Museum & Interpretive Cultural Center, a tax exempt, charitable corporation established to create an interactive museum/library/visitor’s information center for visitors to and residents of Tangier Island, VA, that will document the history of the island and its people and aid in their interpretation.

    The Visitors Center/museum will have a special focus on the role of transportation in our history. It should increase tourism.

    People coming to the Visitors Center/museum will gain a better knowledge and appreciation for Tangier Island and its unique transportation issues, culture, ecology, economy, history, arts, present challenges and future potential in an effort to make more people love and want to protect Tangier Island and the Chesapeake Bay.

    THMICC wants to help preserve the natural and cultural resources of Tangier Island and of the Chesapeake Bay.

    THMICC will foster and stimulate appreciation of our surroundings and living history through the creation of the Visitors Center/museum and interpretive cultural center, a History Trail, Water Trails and a boardwalk and Nature Trail.
